Los Angeles Chiropractor - George Mariella, DC - Doctor of Chiropractic

I have been a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic since 1989 and have been practicing  here in the Los Angeles community since.  My 20 years of clinic practice has allowed  me to develop a unique Chiropractic technique that I enjoy sharing with my patients. I work to the best of my ability to diagnose, treat and communicate clear objectives for my patients.  I focus part of the treatment on educating my patients so that they understand and participate in the management, recovery and  treatment of their injury and pain.

One of the most important principles of holistic and chiropractic medicine to me is the concept of the "innate". The innate is  our bodies ability to heal ourselves when the cause has been removed.  Since pain is our body's way of communicating injury, disfunction or disease, it is  of primary importance to eliminate the cause while paying special attention to the symptoms.
Understanding the union of mind and body, the psychosomatic, and it's importance in treating pain is primary in resolving the cause and eliminating symptomatology.  Since pain is our body's way of communicating injury, disfunction or disease, it is  of primary importance to listen to the symptoms, understand the development and treat the cause of the pain. Pain and injury often have an emotional or psychological component and understanding it is important in resolving the primary complaint.  I have often seen people's lives change: emotionally, physically, professionally with the change in their physical pain, biomechanics  and function of their bodies.
Health and wellness have always been extremely important in my life.  I was introduced to chiropractic while studying premed at St. Mary's College of Moraga Ca.  After being treated with chiropractic at an early age I knew and understood the amazing potential and power of manual medicine and followed my heart.  After undergraduate school I continued my studies at Los Angeles College of Chiropractic and graduated in 1988.  The passion that I have for chiropractic is immense and the joy that  I receive from my patients is overwhelming.  I am so grateful for all the knowledge and experiences that my patients share with me and am humbled daily by all the blessings I receive.
My "style" of chiropractic is based on more than 20 years of practice and is a mix of different types chiropractic techniques, manual medicine, self inventory, behavior modification, life style changes, yoga principles and postures, breathing, exercise (stretching or strengthening) in order to reduce pain, normalize function and restore full biomechanics.
Chiropractic manipulation, adjustive techniques and manual therapy have been developed to normalize the function of the spine and extremities.  It is a very conservative approach to wellness and health without the use of drugs or surgery and used in the treatment of many conditions.
If you happen to see me on the street, at the beach playing volleyball, at Gold's Gym Hollywood or an Anusara or Iyengar yoga class please say hello. If you speak Italian and would like to practice feel free to ask me. I am always looking to practice my Italian.
If you have any questions, you might find answers in the FAQ section of this website or you can email or call us.
Celebrate your health and well being, stay active and remember to breathe.
All the best.
