Los Angeles Acupuncturist - Eva Chan, L.Ac. - Licensed Acupuncture Specialist
I have been an associate acupuncturist with Body Structure for the past 12 years. As a practitioner of Chinese medicine and acupuncture I have successfully treated hundreds of patients for pain, infertility, stress, general well being, and have been able to counter the negative side effects of pharmaceutical drugs.
I am native-born Chinese and came to the United States in 1969. At an early age I became interested in eastern philosophy and principles of health. After emigrating to the United States I became dissatisfied with western medicine and the side effects of pharmaceutical drugs. I entered the Emperors College for an alternative approach to health care for myself. After several years of study I decided to become a professional Acupuncturist. I returned home to Shanghai for my internship; an intensive 8-week session at the Shanghai Chinese Hospital seeing fifty patients a day. I learned my Chinese techniques of acupuncture and Chinese herbs during my stay. I practice Traditional Chinese Medicine and make my diagnoses according to the Zu Fong Theory.
I believe the body should be treated as a whole and by listening to the patient and applying the correct treatment to the chief complaint; the body is often able to heal itself in other areas as well. I advise my patients on nutrition and herbal supplements. My goal is to have patients be more aware of their own well being. Listen to the needs of their own body for a better, healthier and happier self.
